I wanted to do a self portrait that gave an honest idea of who i am and what i'm all about. I took a good look in the mirror, put it down, and let my hands go to work. Usually I do typical face-front, realistic style self portraits, because usually i am bland like that. When I did this piece, I was not bland but rather FUCKING CRAZY.
Aside from the day to day feelings of anger, anxiety, futility, confusion, paranoia, impending doom, and hopelessness, there was an excruciating pain echoing through my head with the slightest movement. On top of that, I had gone without sleep for hmm maybe 26 hours or so. I hope this is conveyed in the frantic nature of the line and my generally ghastly appearance.
